The Watchlist: Up-n-Coming Authors: Kimberly Jasper .
Meet Kimberley R. Jasper who was raised in Jamaica Queens, New York, a place where grinding and desperation sometimes go hand in hand. Although she currently resides in Humble, Texas with her family she describes herself as a true New Yorker through and through. Kimberly has crossed all boundaries in the literary field from writing Urban Fiction to Horror injecting her style with a mystical twist, all the way to Erotic Thrillers. Kimberly is an author who describes her work as having a “well-seasoned finesse.”
Since successfully self-publishing her debut novel in horror fiction, What Hatred Breeds, Kimberley has ventured into Urban Erotica and has released her second novel, The Chronicles of Epiphany Jones. Her books have also been speedily adopted by several book clubs, and individual avid readers alike who have embraced Kimberley and her uncanny ability to breathe real life into her vibrant characters. As of to date she states that “I graciously travel to book club meetings, where I truly enjoy getting to know my readers in person, and I also contribute to a monthly column about Love & Relationships for Urban Image Magazine and have been interviewed by several radio shows, literary spotlights and multiple literary websites and blogs.”
Kimberley also is currently following her passion and working on the follow ups to her first two novels. Being hard at work on her followups her fans can most assuredly expect nothing short of more amazing works to come from her in the near future. I had an opportunity to briefly interview her during her busy schedule and here’s what she has shared with dioncheese.com

Stella Moreau had great faith in her craft. She had faith in her lineage. Her blood was Toussaint, her name was Moreau, but she was Metoyer by right; by privilege. She had a fiercely latent centuries-old power that coursed straight through her lineage and had been passed down to her. It flowed from Geneviève, to Cèlestine, to Anastasie, to Gisèle, to Grandmere Lisette, to Maman Angelique, to Stella. Metoyer’s did not have to operate under the confines of voodoo; they were not bound by the laws of rituals; they called to something deeper. Something darker. Of course the mere myth of voodoo was enough to evoke fear within every living being in Louisiana. If they knew the true source of the darkness that lie behind the Metoyer’s power, they would pray for their souls. The Metoyer’s were more powerful than the boundaries of voodoo and far darker than any ritual. Voodoo was the authority that ran New Orleans, so voodoo was what the Metoyer’s had hidden their power behind for centuries.
This book will take you to the underbelly of spiritual warfare and have you riveted as the story begins to unfold with each page. Surprisingly, Kayla and Julian’s plight is not uncommon and the reader will instantly be able to identify with the torrid love story tangled within the stronghold of darkness.
